Terms of service

Last updated 14 October 2026

The short version

  • Your app is yours. It is published under your own App Store and Google Play accounts, and your content and members belong to you.
  • You pay monthly and can cancel any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • You run your community. You are responsible for what you sell, what is posted and how you treat your members' data. We provide the technology.
  • We look after the platform. We host it, keep it secure and build your app, but we cannot guarantee Apple or Google will approve it.

The full terms below are what actually apply. Please read them before you subscribe.

Who we are and who these terms are for

Kinflo is operated by Kinflo Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17518547) with its registered office at 3 Countess Road, Manchester M20 6RS, United Kingdom ("Kinflo", "we", "us"). We provide a platform for building, launching and running branded community apps on iOS, Android and the web. These terms are an agreement between us and you, the person or business that signs up for a Kinflo account ("you", a "creator").

Kinflo is for business use. By creating an account you confirm that you are using it for your trade, business or profession, and that you are at least 18. If you sign up on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it to these terms, and "you" means that company.

By creating an account or paying for a plan you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Kinflo.

Your account

Keep your login details private and the information on your account accurate. You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by team members you invite. Tell us straight away at hello@kinflo.io if you think someone has accessed it without permission.

Plans, billing and cancelling

  • Price. The plans and prices are shown on our website and at checkout. Today they are Launch at £79 a month and Growth at £249 a month. Any tax that applies is shown at checkout.
  • Payment. Plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment provider, Stripe, and renew automatically each month until you cancel.
  • Changing plan. You can move between plans at any time. The difference for the rest of the current period is worked out pro rata and added to or taken off your next invoice.
  • Cancelling. Cancel at any time from Settings, then Billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund part-used periods unless the law requires us to.
  • Failed payments. If a payment fails we will let you know and try again. If it still has not been paid after a reasonable period we may suspend your account until it is.
  • Price changes. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change affects you, so you can cancel before it applies.

Agencies

If you are an agency building apps for your own clients through Kinflo's white-label programme, you are invoiced per app at the rates agreed when your agency account is approved, and payment is due by the date on each invoice. You are responsible for your clients' use of Kinflo as if it were your own, and for making sure they agree to terms at least as protective of us as these.

Your app and the app stores

Your app is published under your own Apple Developer and Google Play developer accounts. You need to hold those accounts, keep them in good standing and accept Apple's and Google's own developer terms, which are between you and them. You are responsible for your store listing, including its name, description, screenshots, age rating and privacy details.

We build your app and help you submit it, but Apple and Google decide what they approve and can reject or remove an app at any time. We cannot guarantee approval or a launch date. Any timescale we give is an estimate, not a promise.

If you give us store credentials, such as an App Store Connect API key, we store them encrypted and use them only to build, submit and update your app. You can remove them at any time.

Your app runs on Kinflo's platform. If your subscription ends, your app and web app stop working, so your members will lose access unless you renew.

Selling to your members

When your members pay you, you are the seller. Web payments go through your own Stripe account, which you connect to Kinflo and which is governed by Stripe's terms. In-app purchases go through your own App Store and Google Play accounts. You are responsible for your prices, refunds, delivering what you sell, customer service, consumer law and any taxes on your sales.

Kinflo does not currently take a percentage of your sales. If that ever changes we will tell you at least 30 days in advance.

Your content and your members

You own the content you and your members put into your app, and your members' data is yours to control. You give us permission to host, copy, display and process it only as needed to run Kinflo for you. That permission ends when the content is deleted, apart from routine backups that expire on their own schedule.

For your members' personal data you are the controller and we are your processor, handling it on your instructions as described in our privacy policy. You must give your members your own terms and privacy notice and have a lawful basis for what you collect. The Legal tab in Builds can generate a starting point, which you should check yourself.

You are responsible for moderating your community and for what is published in it. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.

Acceptable use

You and your members must not use Kinflo to:

  • Break the law. Including publishing illegal, fraudulent, defamatory or infringing content, or selling anything that is illegal to sell.
  • Harm people. Including harassment, hate speech, content that sexualises minors, or encouraging violence or self-harm.
  • Send spam. Or send email or push notifications to people who have not agreed to receive them.
  • Attack the platform. Including trying to access other creators' data, probing for weaknesses, overloading the service, or introducing malware.
  • Copy or resell Kinflo. Including reverse-engineering it, or reselling it without being part of our agency programme.

Our platform

Kinflo, including the dashboard, app code, templates and designs we provide, belongs to us. While your subscription is active you may use it to build and run your app. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

Some features use AI, such as the help-centre assistant and generated test-user content. AI output can be wrong, so check it before you rely on it, and do not enter sensitive personal information.

Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Kinflo running and secure, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We sometimes need to carry out maintenance, and we rely on providers such as our hosting, database and payment companies.

We improve Kinflo all the time. If we remove or significantly reduce a feature you are paying for, we will tell you in advance.

Suspension and ending the agreement

You can end this agreement at any time by cancelling your plan. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, do not pay, or use Kinflo in a way that creates legal risk or harms others. Where it is reasonable we will warn you first and give you a chance to put things right.

After your account closes you can ask us for a copy of your data within 30 days. After that we delete it as described in our privacy policy, except anything we must keep by law.

Our liability to you

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

You are responsible for, and will cover our reasonable costs arising from, claims by third parties (including your members) about your content, your sales or your breach of these terms or the law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Kinflo after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel before they do.

General

These terms and our privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about Kinflo. If any part is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer this agreement without our written consent; we may transfer it as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business. Nobody else has rights under it.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
